Description
Salmon Chiffon is a fragrant, single flower form, herbaceous hybrid peony. The bloom opens vivid salmon with a yellow center. Broad petals, arranged in two or three rows surround a dense cluster of stamens and pale carpels with pink stigmas. Intensely salmon-colored the cup-shaped bloom is large, of good substance and formal form.
The bush is of satisfactory plant habit, vigorous but a bit slow to increase. It is of medium height; the stems are self-supporting carrying the flower above the canopy of medium green leaves. This variety boasts vivid color and fragrance, making it a perfect specimen for the near flower bed and mixed perennial border.
Best Use
General garden and landscape use; perennial border; mass plantings; deer resistant.
Basic Growing Requirements
