Description
Sorbet, a bomb double, large fragrant flower opens in a unique pink and cream color pattern. Broad, nicely rounded guards form a saucer that holds a ball at its center. A collar of cream colored petalodes is sandwiched between pink guards and the inner segments, also colored pink. Flower form and collar are not always well defined, then the inner structure is composed of intermixed pink petals and cream colored petalodes. The color pattern is reminiscent of a raspberry and vanilla sorbet from which the name is derived.
Currently, it is not registered with the International Cultivar Registration Authority and is of unknown origin but reportedly discovered in South Korea. While we are quite confident that our stock is the correct representation of this variety, vendors, particularly those operating from overseas, have been peddling plant material inconsistent with the original stock and offering numerous similarly pink colored varieties such as Eden’s Perfume interchangeably, at random and presumably at will. Withstanding the confusion about this variety, it furnishes fine stems for the vase and is very well suited for use in a sunny border or cut flower garden.

General garden and landscape use; perennial border; cut flower garden, deer resistant; cutter in commercial use.
Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlogged conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
