Description
Old Rose Dandy is a single flower form, Itoh hybrid peony. Two rows of petals, on occasion some extra segments surround a loose cluster of stamens and a set and prominent carpels. The flower color is yellowish, with purplish rose shades at opening, large flare at base of petals, more intensely and persistently colored. The purplish pigments pale as the flower matures, the underlying color remaining to petal fall. It is a prolific bloomer producing many medium size flowers. Good plant habit, vigorous and good increase, grows a semi-dwarf, rounded bush. The plant is well covered in smallish, dark green leaflets. Old Rose Dandy is a good choice for the near flower bed and the mixed perennial border.
