Aphrodite’s Kiss is a captivating, fragrant Japanese-form bloom that opens in glowing white, highlighted by a luminous cream to soft yellow center.

Description

Aphrodite’s Kiss is a fragrant, Japanese form, flower that opens white with a cream to light yellow center. The center segments vary from narrow staminode, to fully formed petalode type. Irregularly arranged segments may form a loose bomb flower form when fully grown. Altogether an attractive, informal flower, Aphrodite’s Kiss promises a unique landscape appeal.

The bush is of exceptional plant habit, free flowering, vigorous, and produces a compact, semi-dwarf bush. Stout stems, upright and self-supporting, flowering stems do not require staking when to be flowered in the landscape. The foliage is deep green and remains healthy throughout the growing season. A notable peony that makes a great addition to the sunny border.

Best Use
General garden and landscape use; perennial border; mass plantings; deer resistant.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlogged conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
