Description
Solara is a single flower form, herbaceous hybrid peony. The large flower opens buff shades and fades to buff yellow shades under the sun. The color is clean throughout, segments with a fluted texture. Two rows of broad petals surround large ring of golden yellow stamens, centered by prominent pale carpels with red stigmas. The handsome flower has no fragrance; side buds extend bloom. Good plant habit, vigorous and good grower, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a large, tall bush. Deep green foliage remains attractive well into the summer. Strong stems carry flowers near the canopy, free standing when grown well, makes a wonderful display in the perennial border.
