Description
Jean Ericksen is a wine red, Japanese flower form peony. The broad petals surround a center cluster of staminodes of the same red shade as the outer petals when they first open. As flower ages the staminodes acquire a silvery edging. The plant has a very satisfying plant habit, vigorous grower, producing ample color on the medium height bush. Each flowering stem produces a flower with several side buds. The plant keeps its form well and the strong stems are self-supporting. Staking is not required, making Jean Ericksen an excellent choice for the mixed perennial border and the flower bed. No pollen or seed.
