Description
Coral ‘n Gold, is a single, large flower that opens in a brilliant shade of coral. Two rows of strongly cupped petals form an intensely colored bowl which holds a large cluster of golden yellow stamens. A striking display of color which is among the most vivid corals currently available in commerce. Coral ‘n Gold is attractive and well formed, but rather short lived, in comparison to cultivars that have side buds.
The tall bush has a very satisfying plant habit, it is vigorous, increases well and tolerates late spring freeze events. Strong stems carry the flower near the foliage and the bush holds its form well against inclement weather. The foliage is deep green and remains attractive well into fall. Coral ‘n Gold is an excellent choice for the sunny border.
