FERNLEAF PEONIES AND OTHER SPECIES

Here you will find the fernleaf peonies that are itemized in the main catalog under their botanical name Paeonia tenuifolia. Fernleaf peonies and other species peonies are all indexed under their botanical classification Paeonia (genus name) followed by the specific epithet that refers to the species within that genus. Therefore, you will find them in close proximity listed under the letter P. In addition to the species peonies you will find a number of hybrids that are closely related to the original species parents. The hybrids are listed with their proper cultivar (cultivated variety) name. Many species peonies are considered more delicate and demanding to grow and probably are not a good choice for a novice gardener.
