Description

Tropicana, is a semi-double, medium size flower opens vivid coral. Several rows of broad petals, grade smaller inward, surround a cluster of yellow stamens, in center prominent, pale green carpels with coral color stigmas. Pigments are quite durable and color does not much fade with age.

Good plant habit, vigorous and good grower, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a large, very tall bush. One bud per stem, occasional side bud possible. Sturdy, very tall stem, leaning with opened flower; requires high support if to be used in the viewed landscape. In early spring, bronze-colored shoots emerge from the ground, the foliage soon turning dark green with the increasing spring temperatures. Furnishes fine stems for the vase and is an excellent choice for the cut flower garden.
