Description
Lavender Lotus is a single flower form Lactiflora peony. This slightly cupped lavender pink single bloom has a double row of guard petals. The broad petals surround a cluster of yellow stamen and a set of red carpels with red stigmas. The flower boasts good texture, substance and an attractive form. One main flower is supplemented by one to three side buds per stem. It has pollen, seed and no fragrance.
This variety exhibits a very satisfying plant habit. It increases fast forming a sizable clump within four years after planting. It is vigorous, forming a medium height bush, producing excellent color during the early midseason bloom seasib. Long, strong stems are clad in thick rich, deep green foliage. The bush holds its form well and staking is not required. Lavender Lotus attracts attention with its vivid color, making it a perfect pick for the flower border, the mixed perennial bed and the pollinator garden.
