Description
Mr. Sandman is a single flower form peony that opens delicate buff pink soon fading near white with a hint of buff. Two layers of large, broad petals surround the boss of yellow stamens. The stigmas are rose red; the carpels are pale. It is a vigorous plant that grows a sizable clump within 4 years after panting. The plant habit is above average, producing reliably ample color on a medium height bush. The plant is well proportioned the flowers are set near the foliage canopy. The foliage is quite large and of medium green color, the leaflets are semi-glossy. The flowers attract pollinators and make a statement in the sunny border in the early bloom season.

General garden and landscape use; mixed border; attracts pollinators and honey bees; deer resistant.
Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to over-watering and waterlogged conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
