Description
Summer’s Prelude is a Japanese flower form, Lactiflora peony. The flower opens rose pink with a yellow center. Broad petals surround tightly packed center of boss staminodes. The stamineal segments are golden yellow. The plant has a very satisfying plant habit, rigorous and decent increase, growing a medium height bush. It is a reliable bloomer with ample color each year. This variety is a superb option for the mixed perennial border and the flower bed.

Cut flower garden; general garden and landscape use; perennial border; mass plantings; deer resistant.
Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlogged conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
