Description
Twitterpatted is a single, large flower opens with raspberry red streaks on cream white base and sometimes the other way around. Long, irregular shaped petals, twisted and ruffled surround a large cluster of yellow stamens, in center inconspicuous carpels with rose red stigma.
Side buds extend bloom. Good plant habit, vigorous and good grower, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a medium tall bush. Strong, long stems carry flowers above the foliage canopy. The bush holds quite well against rough weather, support depends on placement in the landscape. It is a novel choice for the flower border.
Best Use
Novelty variety; general garden and landscape use; perennial border; cut flower garden; deer resistant.
Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlogged conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
