Japanese flower form, displays as a single and often listed that way because of the very small and thick staminodes. A large flower opens bright mahogany red, a stable pigmentation that does not fade much as the flower matures. Broad, well-formed petals with a pronounced, light red flare impart a sunray pattern. Segments of heavy, waxy substance surround a cluster of bright yellow staminodes centered by prominent pale-yellow carpels, the flower is of exhibition quality and excellent form. Good plant habit, vigorous and fair increase, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a compact, medium height bush. Strong, erect stem holds the flower well. Good foliage, semi-glossy medium green, holds up well in Midwest summers. It is a stunning variety, well suited for the perennial border.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
