The full double flower opens in medium pink shades. The pigmentation is more pronounced in cool spring climate and soon fading to delicate pink shades in the sun. The outside of the large guard petals and the tips of some inner petals are commonly marked by deep rose-red highlights. These dark red markings are also present on the flower buds. The large flower is generously furnished with petals, broad guards surround many layers of segments that successively grade narrower toward a center of remnant stamens. These stamens are well hidden in the high silhouette, domed shape flower. It is a nicely tailored flower with pleasing form and substance. The bush has a satisfying plant habit, it is quite vigorous and a dependable bloomer. It produces ample color on a large clump within a few years of planting. The main flower and side buds are born on long stems well above the dark green foliage. Stems sprawl when in flower and require mechanical support in the viewed landscape. It furnishes fine stems for the vase and is an excellent choice for the cut flower garden.
