Japanese form, medium size flower opens bright rose red. In cooler climates or cold spring, blooms appears a deep maroon. The pigment is very durable and does not fade until petals drop. Broad, rounded petals surround a large cluster of same color staminodes edged in gold, with inconspicuous, pale green carpels within the center. A handsome flower, well-tailored, with pleasing shape and good substance. Good plant habit, quite vigorous and of good increase. A dependable bloomer with ample color on a generous, medium height bush. Deep green leaflets on stout, upright stems carry the flowers above the canopy. The bush holds quite well against rough weather,. Excellent in the landscape, great choice for the cut flower garden.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
