Cora Louise

$50.00

Cora Louise dazzles in your landscape with large, semi-double blooms of pure white dramatically flared in brilliant purple, encircling a glowing center of gold and soft green carpels.

Description

Cora Louise, a semi-double, large flower opens pure white with brilliant purple flares. Large outer petals surround several rows of segments that grade smaller toward the center of yellow stamens. The purple filaments with the stamen create a ring around the prominent, pale green carpels. Both flower form and substance are very satisfying. It is a charming flower with a mild fragrance.

The bush has an excellent plant habit, it is vigorous and quick to increase. It is a dependable bloomer with ample color on an attractive, compact bush within a few years of planting. The blooms are carried near a canopy of the dark green foliage. The leaves are deeply cut, and the shape is reminiscent of their tree peony ancestry. Short, stiff stems hold the flowers upright and the bush holds its shape well against inclement weather events. Cora Louise is an excellent choice for the flower border.

Best Use
Fragrant; general garden and landscape use; perennial border.
