Belleville is an anemone that matures into lush, bomb double blooms, with soft light-rose inner segments embraced by broad guard petals in rich cyclamen purple.

Description

Belleville is an anemone, bomb double flower on mature plants, that opens in shades of cyclamen purple. Broad guard petals surround a large cluster of slender, light rose segments which obscure the purple carpels. The large flower is well-tailored and of good form and substance. A dependable variety with excellent plant-habit. The increase of this vigorous plant is above average and produces an attractive bush within a few years of planting.

It is free flowering with ample color on a medium height bush. Belleville’s emerging shoots are dark purple and mature stems are well clad in dark green foliage. Dark green leaflets remain attractive for most of the growing season, well into the fall. Self-supporting, stout stems carry flowers close to the foliage and staking is typically not needed. This variety is an excellent performer in the landscape and a great choice for the cut flower garden.

Best Use
Cut flower garden; general garden and landscape use; deer resistant; hybridizing; cutter in commercial use.

Basic Growing Requirements
