Japanese, large flower opens dusky deep red. Broad, well-formed petals surround a boss of narrow staminodes of same color edged in gold. In center, mostly obscured, pale yellow carpels topped with reddish stigmas. An outstanding flower of excellent form and substance. Good plant habit, vigorous, grows a spreading, medium height bush. Stout stems, self-supporting and carry flowers well. Dark green foliage remains attractive for most of the growing season. Excellent in the landscape, great choice for the cut flower garden.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
