Variable semi-double to double; large, flower opens blood red to maroon. Color perceived to be of superior quality. Broad petals, grade smaller and narrower inward. Inner segments wavy and ruffled surround a loose cluster of pollen-bearing stamens intermixed with petals. In center pale carpels with rose red stigma, gynoecium normal and fertile. One bud per stem, flower not fragrant. Below average plant habit, vigorous and good increase, a good bloomer with ample color on a sprawling, medium height bush. Long stem carries flower much above the foliage and requires good support if to be flowered in the viewed landscape. Bush form and habit perceived to be below ornamental standards. This cultivar represents an intermediary step in plant breeding, bringing together wanted genetics from both parents that can be used for color and flower doubleness in breeding.
