Single, large size flower opens in a rich, garnet red color. Durable pigment, clean color and brilliant throughout drawing the eye from afar. Two rows of broad, nicely rounded petals surround a smallish, tight cluster of yellow stamens centered by inconspicuous pale carpels with rose-red stigma. Both, the flower form and presentation, are quite good. Many side buds extent the blooming season. Excellent plant habit, vigorous and good grower. A dependable bloomer with generous color on a medium height bush. Strong, long stem are well clothed in semi-glossy, bluish-green foliage. Bush bears flowers above the foliage canopy but retains good form against rough weather, therefore staking is not required. It is a delightful peony with excellent qualities for the perennial border and shows effective in mass plantings.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
