Squirt

Sorry, Sold Out!

BeeLoved® 'Squirt'
Originator: (Klehm, 1998)
Group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Early
Bloom week: 2
Flower form: Single
Height: Dwarf
USDA Zone: 3 to 7
Item number: 5507

Details:

Single; small size, flower opens blush soon fading to pure white in the sun. The apple blossom shades more pronounced in northern climate and cold spring. Two rows of broad, rounded petals surround a yellow ring of pollen-bearing stamens, in center small fertile carpels that will set seed and conspicuous dark rose stigmas. One bud per stem, the whimsical flower is in good proportion with the dimensions of the dwarf bush. Very satisfying plant habit, quite vigorous but rather slow to increase, a dependable bloomer with fair color on a compact, small bush. Stiff, short stems well covered in semi-glossy, deep green foliage. The nicely mounded bush holds well against rough weather and is completely self-supporting. It is an adorable little peony well suited for use in the near border or a rock garden setting.
