Full double, large flower opens ruby red, with the color variable prevailing with seasonal changes. The color is clean throughout and expressed more brilliantly in colder climate or cool spring. The color fades in the sun, petals frosted and the flower is cast in a silvery sheen. Broad, rounded outer petals, grade smaller inward; flower well-furnished with segments, makes a high silhouette, globular shape. Wavy and slightly edged at the margins, the segments are of good substance, nicely arranged, making it a nicely tailored flower of pleasing form. Very satisfying plant habit, vigorous and good increase, a dependable bloomer with abundant color on a substantial, medium height bush. Stiff, long stems may sag with rain in the opened flower, the presentation benefited by support against rough weather. The bush is well clothed, top to bottom, in quality deep green foliage, which retains its good appearance for most of the growing season. A well-proportioned, handsome peony, perfectly suited for display in a perennial border or a cut flower garden. Furnishes fine stems for the vase and is a good commercial cutter with good cold storage qualities.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
