Three rows of cardinal red guard petals with a sharply contrasting center: stamens light yellow, stigmas pale and carpels white, the whole enhancing the overall flower impact. The flowers are presented close to the foliage on stoutly erect, medium-tall stems. The bush habit is well adapted for landscape presentation. Growth is vigorous, the foliage and stems generally tolerant of fungi infection, plant appearance holding up well through summer.
