Single, on well grown mature plants semi-double; large size, flower opens deep, scarlet red, the color is vibrant and clean throughout. Smooth and silky, broad petals surround a ring of golden yellow stamens, centered by prominent, pale green carpels with rose red stigmas. The flower is of good form, the flower buds are large and of mid to light green color. Flowering stems typically have one or two side buds that prolong bloom. Excellent habit, vigorous and good increase, fast grower and a dependable bloomer with ample color on a compact, semi-dwarf to medium height bush. Strong stem carries flowers near the foliage canopy. The bush holds well against rough weather and staking is not needed. Cool green, semi-glossy leaflets are intermediate in form between the parents, leathery and durable. Makes an excellent presentation in the garden and it is a fine choice for the perennial border.
