Single, large flower form opens bright yellow, quickly fading to a paler yellow shade, intensity of color depends strongly on the prevailing environmental conditions of the seasonal climate. The pigmentation is more brilliant and durable in colder climates or cooler spring. Two rows of broad, nicely rounded petals surround a large golden yellow boss. The cluster consists of many, tightly packed, golden yellow stamens, in center inconspicuous, pale carpels and stigmas. The petals are slightly fluted and cupped, bestow an attractive cup shape and excellent form. Some side buds extend bloom. Good plant habit, quite vigorous and a good grower, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a large, medium height bush. Strong, erect stems carry flower close to the foliage canopy. Well formed, relatively large leaflets are of semi-glossy, medium green color. Self-supporting stems, the bush holds quite well against rough weather, makes an excellent presentation in a perennial border or living garden, particularly when planted in masses.
