Single; large, flower opens dark red. Two rows of large petals with thick substance, waxy appearance, surround a large center of pollen-bearing stamens. Attractive shape and color attributes; wavy recurved petal segments and the large center boss, draws the eye from a distance. Good plant habit, vigorous, dependable bloomer with prolific color on a large, medium height bush. Self-supporting long stems hold flower upright, holds form well against inclement weather events, no support needed. Semi-glossy, dark green foliage, a bit coarser then average but stays attractive and clean for most of the growing season well into fall. An excellent choice for the living garden, attracts pollinators and honey bees. This variety is rarely offered.
