Single, large flower opens a strong deep crimson red, that draws the eye from afar. Smoothly cupped petals surround a cluster of yellow stamens centered by prominent, pale carpels and stigmas. Satisfactory plant habit, vigorous and fast increase. Forms a spreading, medium height bush of decidedly rugged appearance. Reliable bloomer with ample color on a bush with interesting deep green foliage. The long leaflets are cut and pointed, the foliage remains healthy for most of the growing season. A unique peony that attracts pollinators and makes a fine addition to a living garden.
