Full double, large flower opens deep rose red to bright watermelon red shades. The pigmentation is more brilliant in cool spring weather. The flower is generously furnished with petals. The broad outer petals enclose many layers of segments that grade narrower inward. It is a well-tailored flower with excellent shape and substance. The plant has a satisfying plant habit, it is quite vigorous and a dependable bloomer. Numerous side buds prolong the boom season. It produces ample color on a substantial bush within a few years of planting. This bush is of medium height with flowers borne close enough to the foliage for a well-proportioned presentation. The strong stems are long enough for cutting and lend well for concealed support mechanics when needed against severe weather events. The bush is well-clad in deep green foliage which stays healthy for most of the growing season. An exquisite, old-fashioned peony, worthy of an accent point in the sunny border or the cut flower garden.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
