Looking for that perfect fragrant peony? Below are just a few examples of our wide collection.

Dawn Glow

Sold Out!

Best Landscaper® 'Dawn Glow'
O.: (Saunders/Hollingsw., 1986)
Group: Herbaceous Hybrid
Bloom period: Early
Bloom week: 2
Flower form: Single
Height: Medium
USDA Zone: 3 to 7
Item number: 1420

Details:

Single, large flower opens in a unique color. Ivory white petals are accentuated by lavender highlights that emanate from the base of the segments. The pigments are more brilliant in cool spring weather. Two rows of broad petals surround a large cluster of yellow stamens with prominent yellow-green carpels in the center. The attractive flower is well-tailored and has a scent suggestive of clove. Tender young foliage may also emit a faint clove-like fragrance on sunny spring days. The medium height bush exhibits a quite satisfying plant habit. It is vigorous and a good bloomer. The flowers are carried near the canopy of the glossy, deep green foliage. The bush holds its shape well and staking is not required under normal growing conditions. A lovely peony of decidedly understated beauty which graces the flower border with an early dash of color.
