Single, large flower opens blush, soon fading to white in the sun. Two rows of large, rounded petals surround a center cluster of yellow stamens. The prominent carpels are hairy, pale green and tipped with dark red stigmas. The gynoecium is normal, fertile and will set seed. The filaments are white and long, baring stamens in a ring around the carpels. A good bloomer with ample color on a tall bush. The stem is strong and carries the flower above the deep green canopy of foliage. The leaves are quite large and reminiscent of their Paeonia macrophylla ancestry. It is a unique variety that brings color very early to the peony garden.
