Best Landscaper® 'William E.B. DuBois'
O.: (Waltz/Hollingsw., 2013)
Group: Herbaceous Hybrid
Bloom period: Early
Bloom week: 2
Flower form: Single
Height: Medium
USDA Zone: 3 to 7
Item number: 2414

Details:

Single, large size flower opens pure white. Broad, cupped petals surround a large cluster of golden yellow stamens, centered by pale green carpels with conspicuous rose-pink stigmas. They provide for an interesting focal point and a pleasing splash of extra color to the otherwise dichromatic presentation. An attractive flower with good substance that retains its form well as the flower matures. Excellent plant habit, vigorous and good grower, a dependable bloomer with profuse color on a large, medium height bush. Semi-glossy, dark green foliage, on stout upright stems carry the flowers near the canopy. The bush retains its form well against rough weather, staking not required. The leaflets are of broad oval form, relatively large and remain attractive for most of the growing season. A peony with many notable qualities offering a fabulous show in the early sunny border.
