Best Fragrant® 'Cheddar Charm'
Originator: (Klehm, 1985)
Group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Midseason
Bloom week: 4
Flower form: Anemone
Height: Medium
USDA Zone: 2 to 8
Item number: 5012

Details:

Fragrant, anemone type flower opens white with yellow center. A double row of clean white petals surrounds a cluster of yellow staminode segments. The outer petals are broad and well rounded, while the bright yellow segments are narrow and long, together form a beautiful flower, with a pleasing shape and good substance. The bush has a satisfying plant habit, it is vigorous and of good increase, growing a fair size clump within a few years of planting. It produces a good amount of color on a medium height bush. The flowers are borne close enough to the foliage for an attractive presentation. The leaves are glossy, dark green and remain healthy throughout the growing season. Long stems are self-supporting, use light support against inclement weather events if found necessary. This variety furnishes fine stems for the vase. Adaptive to many uses, it is a great choice for the cut flower garden, a great specimen plant for the near border and effective in mass plantings.
