Quite durable pigments which remain bright as flower matures, especially if opened in a vase. Broad, rounded guards surround many layers of curled and ruffled petals. In center if present, fertile, pale green carpels covered with white trichomes, the stigma is pink. Some pollen baring stamen, loosely clustered toward center are well concealed within the flower. Generously furnished with petals, it makes a high silhouette, globular flower and is of heavy substance, nicely tailored form. One bud per stem, occasional side bud possible. Exemplary plant habit, vigorous and fast increase, dependable bloom with ample color on a substantial, tall bush. Distinctive, deep green foliage remains healthy for most of the growing season. Strong, long stems hold flowers upright, may sag with rain in the opened flower, the presentation benefited by support; very worth the trouble if found necessary, stunning display in the landscape, makes excellent stems for the vase. Cut stems demonstrate good vase life and hold well in cold storage during which the flower color deepens. This variety is adapted to many uses.
