Japanese; large flower with excellent substance, opens vivid deep pink. Two or three rows of large, neatly tailored petals surround a large boss of golden staminodes. Staminodes are narrow and ruffled; the carpals are pale green, the stigmas rose red. Good petal substance resists weather damage. Two to five buds per stem; mild fragrance. Broad bush, strong, medium tall stems well clothed in deep green foliage. Self-supporting plant that typically does not require staking. Good plant habit, abundant and reliable bloomer with outstanding garden performance.
