'Lady Alexandra Duff'
Originator: (Kelway, 1902)
Cultivar group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Late Midseason
Bloom week: 5
Flower form: Semi-double
Height: Tall
Distinction: Historic
Item number: 1365

Details:

Semi-double; generally double on well grown mature plants. The large flower heads are light pink to blush color. Long petals make sumptuous flowers, luxurious and graceful, many side buds. Medium height, vigorous, makes a stout bush, but should have support if flowered in the viewed landscape. Can develop attractive fall color when foliage is kept free of summer fungi. A reliable garden variety that furnishes fine stems for cutting.

Species cultivar, P. lactiflora. Parentage: unknown, presumed open pollinated. Fertile pollen and seeds, a most successful parent for doubles.
