Originator: (Wild & Son, 1964)
Group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Late
Bloom week: 6
Flower form: Double
Height: Medium
USDA zone: 2 to 8

Full double; large, opens cardinal red; an unusual color for its season. It is largely free of dull purple tones seen in lactiflora reds. Generously furnished with petals, a beautifully formed flower; exhibition quality. Good plant habit, vigorous, good increase, and dependable bloom; grows a substantial, medium height bush. Deep green foliage remains healthy for most of the growing season. Strong stems may sag with rain in the opened flower, the presentation benefited by high support; otherwise an excellent peony in the landscape or vase.
