Full double, large flower opens wine red, which is an unusual color for late season appeal. It is largely free of dull tones seen in lactiflora reds. Generously furnished with petals, a beautifully formed flower of exhibition quality. Good plant habit, vigorous, good increase, and dependable bloom. Grows a substantial medium height bush. Deep green foliage remains healthy for most of the growing season. Strong stems may sag with rainfall, in the opened flower and the presentation does benefit by high support. An excellent peony in the landscape or vase.

Basic Growing Requirements
Full Sun. Water as needed, sensitive to overwatering and waterlog conditions. Soil pH 6.5-7. Fertile, well-draining soil.
