Originator: (Saunders, 1939)
Group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Early
Bloom week: 2
Flower form: Single
Height: Medium
USDA zone: 2 to 5

Single; large flower, opens soft lavender, color fades to pale lavender shades in the sun. A double layer of large petals, surrounds a golden yellow cluster of stamens which is centered by burgundy colored carpels. Early season bloom provides an exceptional color combination in the garden, at a time when it is most wanted. Good plant habit, vigorous, free flowering, produces ample color on a medium height bush. Sturdy stems carry flowers above canopy, no support required. Attractive gray green foliage. Plant appears to perform better in northern climates and may prove to be a challenging cultivar for growers in the South.
